Purpose of the position :



The Internal Communications Manager will play a key role within the Corporate Communications department of Wizz Air, engages with employees, foster open and two-way communication within the organization. The role reports to the Head of Corporate Communications.








Internal communications:



    • Effectively managing Facebook Workplace as the primary source of information for all WIZZ related news and events with a continuous focus on driving engagement and adoption of the platform
    • Ensuring a constant and timely flow of strategic, operational and organizational updates to all employees while actively responding to questions or feedback in order to uphold an efficient company-employee dialogue
    • Supporting in the organization of internal and external company events, including WIZZ Academy, the annual Christmas party and WIZZ running events
    • Supporting various departments with their internal communications needs
    • Ensuring all corporate communications templates and materials (both physical and digital) are up to date and used in line with Wizz Air’s brand guidelines
    • Organizing internal video production and photo shoots
    • Ensuring communication flows, structure and policies are kept up to date and followed in all internal communications



Crisis communications:


    • Handling internal communications in an event of any crisis situations
    • Advising the management in the effective communication in the event of any crisis situations
    • Preparing and updating communications strategy to protect the company’s reputation



Employee engagement:


    • Conceptualizing and delivering internal engagement campaigns centered around Wizz Air’s core values for both crew and office employees
    • Managing employee participation in all WIZZ running events and the annual Runway Run

Supporting internal and external employer branding activities




External communications:


    • Representing the company at industry events and press conferences when necessary  





  • Finalized degree from University or College in Communications / Marketing / Business related subject
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in internal communications, CSR or employer branding
  • Strong interpersonal, networking and communication skills
  • Solid writing skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Availability for international travel up to 20% of the time
  • Effective research and administrative skills
  • Initiative, eye for details and a team player, quick thinker
  • Resourceful, flexible and responsive in dealing with people
  • Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Experience in managing social media platforms is a plus (e.g. Facebook Workplace)
