Purpose of the position


The position is primarily responsible for Wizz Air’s marketing and advertising activities across the Wizz Air network and drive potential customers to the digital sales and engagement channels. Scope of the role includes business analysis and planning, proposing and executing the marketing support plans offline and digital via paid & non-paid media, including initiative development, creative development, alliance marketing, and social media or other online initiatives. The marketing manager will have full control of budgeting through to execution in their scope of responsibilities.




  • Proposing and managing the annual Marketing Plan
  • Working together with the company’s other commercial departments to diagnose development  areas and identify opportunities and support them with marketing initiatives & activities in order to drive potential customers to our digital sales & engagement channels
  • Actively working on promotions and marketing campaigns, including definition of key communication messages, creative design, ensuring brand consistency and managing media agencies
  • Leading various marketing projects to be implemented across all regions, including airport signage and ancillary services branding, using wide variety of digital and offline marketing tools
  • Leading projects related to customer acquisition/engagement and development of Wizz Air’s digital marketing and social media strategy
  • Identifying, implementing and managing the most effective marketing tools and channels to create awareness of the agreed key communication messages
  • Working closely with the PR function and agencies to ensure adequate and timely management of external category related news (including business disruption related news and events) to protect and enhance the reputation of the airline
  • Launch of scalable marketing automation, especially on digital marketing, to serve the increasing demand of growing network
  • Identifying potential business partners and external business opportunities, and turning these opportunities into tangible revenue gains
  • Monitor all relevant digital or/and offline marketing and brand KPIs connected to areas of responsibilities
  • Maintaining efficient working relationships with media & creative agencies, business partners




  • Ability to influence the broader Wizz Air organization to develop the customer acquisition/engagement programs and strategies
  • Allocating resources in an effective manner to ensure best ROI
  • Cooperating on a daily basis with the rest of the marketing and commercial teams to understand market strengths and weaknesses and quickly develop action plans to address them
  • Controlling all cost associated with activities, managing marketing budget efficiently and accurately




  • Min. 5 years of experience in the field of digital marketing and/or brand management
  • Experience in strategic planning (markets analysis, marketing strategy definition, campaign planning and budgeting, etc.), managing complex projects in multi-country operations
  • Mastery in consumer, market understanding and digital marketing either of agency or client side
  • Digital native, solid understanding of digital media
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to transfer data knowledge into actions
  • University / college degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Creative and confident, with strong interpersonal skills and attention to details
  • Resilient, have a passion for working in the dynamically growing airline industry
  • Ability to work well under pressure ensuring tasks are prioritized and goals are met  
  • Has stamina, good presentation and communication skills
  • Result-oriented, persistent, dependable and consistent
  • Shows innovation, creativity and good lateral thinking
