Key responsibilities:
- Raising any immediate concerns or issues related to compliance with regulations that could put safety, Operations Specifications or the AOC at risk
- Being responsible for the development, administration, and maintenance of compliance monitoring function on the following areas: Cabin Operations, Crew and Operations Control, Crew Training, Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Crew Resources, Operations and Crew Planning
- Ensuring that the activities are monitored for compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements, additional requirements and standards including IOSA ISARPS, national regulations and standards as established by Wizz Air, and that these activities are carried out under the supervision of the head of the respective functional areas
- Liaison with the competent authority on compliance matters
- Liaising with other external authorities and entities as necessary
- Acting as official deputy to the HOSSC on compliance matters
- Ensuring that leasing activities are appropriately carried out from compliance perspective (operator initial and continuous assessment, documentation check, approval management and administration)
- Maintaining and managing TCO Authorizations and approvals
- Maintaining and managing fleet-related compliance processes and administration with the competent authority
- Facilitating continuous improvement of the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP) and
- processes
- Preparing, managing and maintaining the yearly Compliance Monitoring Plans (CM Plans) related to the area of responsibility including audits and inspections on external service providers
- Preparing, managing and maintaining S&C yearly functional inspection plans
- Ensuring the timely and adequate execution of audits and inspections by internal and contracted auditors, including follow-up (implementation and recording of actions taken to address non-compliance findings and evaluate their implementation/effectiveness)
- Ensuring the that all processes and procedures are carried out in accordance with the relevant procedures and in a standardized way and high quality
- Escalating findings and any significant issues resulting from compliance activities to relevant functional heads and to HOSSC whenever required
- Ensuring the independence and impartiality of internal and contracted auditors
- Making proposals for the development of compliance monitoring principles and processes
- Developing and maintaining compliance KPIs
- Providing feedback on compliance monitoring function effectiveness to the HOSSC
- Setting up supervising the internal and contracted compliance team members including their daily supervision as required
- Support in revising OMM including but not limited to compliance-related policies, processes and procedures
- Revising management system and compliance training materials periodically
- Issuing compliance information to senior management and functional heads periodically
- Liaising with the Functional Heads on all compliance matters
- Participating in the promotion of a just and positive safety culture
- Representing Wizz Air in relevant industry bodies
- Monitoring the execution of functional CM Plans
- Ensuring the timely and appropriate implementation of actions taken to address non-compliance
- Verifying the effectiveness of the implemented actions prior to finding closure
- Providing inputs to Safety, Security Manager and HOSSC about any hazards identified during CM activities and Preparing periodic reports on compliance performance
Authorities of the Function:
The Compliance Manager has the authority to:
- Perform audits, inspection, and other CM activities
- Perform personal meeting with Wizz Air personnel when performing CM activities
- Disseminate information to relevant personnel as appropriate to ensure an organizational awareness of relevant compliance issues
- Have access to all parts of the organisation including any contracted organisation
- Communicate with Competent authority, other authorities and OEMs and vendors.

Requirements:
- 3 years aviation work experience, 1 year safety or compliance managerial experience, preferably in a comparable position, in:
- management systems including compliance monitoring systems and safety management.
- risk management; and
- the operations of the organization.
- Knowledge of:
- ICAO standards and European requirements and provisions on compliance management.
- Auditing techniques; and Human factors in aviation.
