Please note, that you will be the member of your selected department for the first 12 months of your traineeship, after this period you will rotate to another department within the given function.

As a WIZZ Management Trainee, you will be actively involved in high-impact projects across multiple departments, contributing to the airline’s strategic and operational goals. Typical assignments may include supporting strategic planning, optimizing flight schedules, and enhancing data-driven decision-making through performance monitoring and dashboard development.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—ranging from Technical Services and Fleet Acquisition to Organizational Development and Sales—to gain hands-on experience in areas such as process improvement, procurement, reporting, and stakeholder communication. This program offers a dynamic and immersive environment where trainees are empowered to take ownership of meaningful tasks, develop a broad skill set, and contribute to Wizz Air’s continued growth and innovation.

The Airport Development department acts as the airline's strategic bridge to airports, supporting negotiations with stakeholders, managing contract administration, and analyzing airport traffic trends. By providing comprehensive data and reports, the department plays a crucial role in securing strategic partnerships and optimizing airport operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather market intelligence from the field for the rest of the organization: competitive entries/exits, market news, etc.
  • Build negotiation skills by attending meetings with various stakeholders alongside the Airport Development managers and the Head of Airport development
  • Support managers with administrative tasks related to contracting, contract inventory and invoice control
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly marketing reports for partners
  • Prepare statistics on traffic development at airports
  • Monitor contractual obligations of existing deals
  • Support automatization tasks and performing system testing

E-Commerce and Distribution is responsible for owning and managing the website and mobile application and distribution platforms to increase ticket and ancillary revenue through continuous innovation and merchandizing while delivering the highest standards for user experience on the digital channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market and Customer Research: Assist in conducting market research and analyzing customer trends to identify potential opportunities for traffic acquisition campaigns.
  • SEO and PPC Support: Support the SEO and PPC teams in day-to-day tasks such as web & app performance analysis and campaign performance review.
  • Distribution: Support in market research, negotiations, internal reporting and contracting of ongoing distribution projects.
  • Support the internal collaboration on roadmap preparations, revenue forecasts, integration and hypercare period of API integrations.
  • Competitive Analysis: Contribute to competitive analysis by gathering and organizing data on competitor activities.
  • Reporting: Support the creation of weekly and monthly performance reports by gathering data and formatting information in Excel together with Data Analysis Team.
  • Presentation Support: Contribute to the development of presentations by creating visuals and compiling data in PowerPoint.

This team sits at the core of our strategic engine: designed to connect strategy with execution, bringing together financial planning, forecasting, and cross-functional alignment. The department plays a key role ensuring our long-term vision translates into achievable plans and highly efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Update the Company’s Mid-term Strategic Plan in collaboration with the Commercial team and create Board level presentations summarizing new initiatives.
  • Financial Forecasting: Translate our performance into monthly financial forecasts and look behind the numbers to understand key trends driving our business.
  • Business Cases: Analyze group-level business cases and track their performance: Where do we allocate new aircraft? Which base should we close or where to open a new one? How fast our commercial initiatives translate into extra revenue?

The Fleet Acquisition Department plays a critical role in shaping Wizz Air’s future by managing the procurement and integration of new aircraft. The team evaluates aircraft models based on performance, fuel efficiency, and capacity, negotiates purchase and lease agreements, and oversees the delivery and redelivery processes. By ensuring the fleet remains modern and cost-effective, the department supports Wizz Air’s strategic growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management: Being the first point of contact on invoice and utilization matters regarding aircraft and engines
  • Invoice Handling: Manage invoices and contribute to fleet-related accounting processes
  • Aircraft Delivery & Redelivery: Support the delivery of new aircraft and engines, and assist in redelivery projects at lease expiry
  • Contract Management: Maintain master files and databases with key fleet contract details
  • Process & System Development: Contribute to process improvements, system development, and contract enhancement initiatives

The Management Trainee supports the Fuel Efficiency Manager to be able to manage the Group Operation (all Wizz Air Airline) Fuel Efficiency program, including research, development and implementation of fuel efficiency initiatives and ensure communication and cooperation with AOC’s Flight Operations and other relevant departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fuel Efficiency Initiatives: Assist in developing and implementing projects aimed at improving fuel efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Support collaboration with Flight Operations teams to roll out fuel-saving measures across the airline group.

HR Operations is responsible for the employee lifecycle ensuring smooth and compliant management from onboarding to offboarding. This dynamic team handles everything from contracting, HR systems, labour law compliance, relocation, immigration, payroll, and taxation, making sure our people's experience is seamless and efficient.

  • Understanding the work of each functional domains in HR (systems and automation, relocation, contracting, payroll, business support and labour and compliance)

  • Training & Talent Program Support: Assist in the planning, coordination, and communication of ongoing training and talent development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support: Assist customers by providing information on block seat and group bookings, offers, service quotes, flight details, booking requests, and payment clarifications.
  • Sales Administration: Observe and support sales office functions and administrative processes, gaining hands-on experience in day-to-day operations.
  • System Support: Provide administrative assistance in internal programs such as BTP, Cube, Contract Sales Management, and other sales tools.
  • Accurate Calculations: Perform rapid and precise calculations to support pricing and booking processes.

The team oversees short- and long-term maintenance planning, manages aircraft transitions, ensures quality assurance within maintenance organizations, and provides real-time technical support to resolve issues and minimize disruptions. With a diverse set of roles ranging from planning and fleet management to hands-on technical oversight, the department ensures that every aircraft is safe, compliant, and ready to fly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational KPI Review: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to support continuous improvement in technical operations.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks across the department to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Outstation Maintenance Coordination: Support coordination of maintenance activities at outstations and maintain accurate file tracking.
