  • Ability to swim 50m without any help

  • Minimum high school degree

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Good understanding of Mathematics and Physics – high school level

  • University degree and previous flight experience up to PPL license will be taken into consideration during the pre-screening

Our dedicated flight school, Tréner is located in Nyíregyháza, at Eastern Hungary. It has an 1000 m paved runway and seasonality of weather conditions which makes it a perfect training location! The school has over 40 years of flight training experience, aircraft operation and maintenance and its fleet consists of over 20 types of training aircrafts. The city where it locates, Nyíregyháza is a vibing university area, a great college campus environment with lots of entertainment facilities, restaurants, parks and a well-known Zoo as well.

    • Stage 4: Personal Interview with Wizz Air Pilot Recruitment Team and flight school representative
  • After Recruitment:
    • Stage 5:Financial background and medical check

Yes, the candidate can choose their start date within 1 year after successful recruitment.

No, medical certificate is not mandatory on the recruitment event, is it only mandatory to obtain before cadets enrol to the course.

No, the criminal record is not mandatory on the assessment day however, it is required before getting enrolled to the flight school.

The beneficial feature of the Wizz Air approved pilot aptitude test (TestAir360) is that candidates can make preparation for it. Its training module designed for four home practices before final supervised test at the recruitment event. For the personal interview you will be asked about your goals and dreams, motivation, and reasons why you want to be a pilot. Most important is to come relaxed and well-rested.

The applicable fee is 85 EUR, covering the cost of the Pilot Aptitude Test (TestAir360),which should be paid by bank transfer before the recruitment day (clear instructions will be given by the TestAir 360).

We launch the assessment events continuously. Once we open new seats, we notify you about this by email. You can also check regularly in your candidate’s profile if there is an available event suits to your personal agenda.

Standard time of reviewing the results of the assessment is 2 weeks.

Aircraft cockpit and controls are designed on the assumption that the aircrew controlling the aircraft is between 158 cm and 191 cm in height (EASA CS 25.777). Therefore, and in view of our safety-first culture, if you are or below 160 cm in height or if you are or above 190 cm in height, we need to check and make sure that you have full and unrestricted reach of each control of our aircraft. We ask you to indicate your height during the registration so that we can schedule a test in one of our training devices if needed. Check will be done during the recruitment process in Budapest. Please note that your recruitment fee will not be reimbursed if you do not fit in the cockpit or cannot operate the controls.

Yes, application and recruitment can take place before turning 18 if the candidate has already obtained a high school degree, but starting the course is subject to be 18 years of age.

Applicants must have obtained a high school degree.

Before starting the course, the Cadet must sign the Wizz Air Pilot Academy training agreement (which contains the terms and conditions of the program) personally in front of a notary in Budapest (Hungary). Besides this training agreement, cadets also need to nominate a surety, a person that Wizz Air can reasonably expect to be able and willing to repay fees and costs to Wizz Air if the Cadet himself/herself defaults on repayment upon the applicable due date. The suretyship agreement will be signed in front of a contracted notary in the country where the surety resides, and the cost of signature (which is specific for the countries’ regulation) must be covered by the Cadet/Cadet’s surety.

No, you do not need to have prior flying experience, however it is suggested that you engage in prior flying exercises to get a better understanding of whether this career path is truly of your interest.

Each course has a capacity of 10-15 people.

The ATPL exams take place at the Hungarian CAA in Budapest, any relevant costs such as travel costs, accommodation should be covered by the cadets.

Cadets can give their base preferences that the company will take into consideration, but the final base allocation is made according to the current operational needs.

No, the program is an integrated ATPL course, that take the candidates from zero hours of flight experience to a ‘frozen’ ATPL license.

Yes, our program is designed for candidates from zero to little flying experience, therefore, it is possible to join with previous experience. Following an assessment flight Wizz Air may decide at its discretion that the earlier experience is acknowledged and that consequently an amount (up to maximum 20 hours) is credited from the total training fee. Regardless of having earlier experience, the initial training fee (800 EUR) needs to be fully paid before starting the program.

The Wizz Air Pilot Academy She can Fly Program course duration is around 18-21 months long followed by 5-6 months of advanced training by Wizz Air.

Wizz Air Pilot Academy She can Fly Program is a full-time course. The classes and trainings are done on weekdays from 8:00-17:00, and flying lessons can be scheduled at the weekends as well.

No, it is a full-time course, therefore cadets need to be fully dedicated to the program.

Trener fleet consists of over 20 training aircrafts, giving students the opportunity to gain flying experience on Piper Warriors and Piper Seminoles. These training aircrafts provide a comfortable and modern environment for students throughout their training.

The candidate will receive a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) theory credit, including Multi Engine (ME) and Instrument Rating (IR); Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) training; advanced level of Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) upon successful completion of the course.

The cost of the Ab-initio training is € 61 468. Out of this training fee you will have to pay € 800 initially before getting enrolled to the program. This part of the fee covers the first phase of the training program of approximately 5 months, including part of the ATPL(A) theory and around 20 hours of flight training. Remainder of the training fee is paid in monthly instalments for 6 years after being released as First Officer at Wizz Air, based on the below table:

Timing of the payment for remainder of the tuition fee and monthly installment (in EUR)

  • Between months 1-30 after Flight check for release: 520 EUR
  • Between months 31-72 after Flight check for release: 954 EUR
  • Between months 73-77 after Flight check for release: 1000 EUR*

* Loyalty bonus: the last five instalments (between months 73-77) amounting to 5000 EUR of the fees will be waived if you comply with the terms of the agreement especially if you maintain your employment at Wizz Air as a pilot for 6 years.

The cost for the advanced training is € 35000 which is waived to € 20 000, if you comply with the terms and condition and sign to stay at the company for 4 years. The training cost is paid back in installments in 4 years (€ 415/month) after being released as a first officer.

The first instalment (€ 800) of the training fee should be paid by bank transfer within 30 days from the training agreement signature.

The loyalty period is 6 years, if the cadet decides to quit in the middle, the remaining fee should be paid back to the company by the cadet.
