(Senior) Cabin Operations Regional Manager 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

Purpose of the role

The (Senior) Cabin Operations Regional Manager oversees Cabin Crew operations for Wizz AOC bases within the assigned region. The role ensures compliance with operational standards, team development, and effective communication between the Head of Cabin Operations and Base Managers. 

The level of the position is based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between the Head of Cabin Operations and Cabin Crew Base Managers 
  • Manage Cabin Crew Base Managers transparently, ensuring equal task distribution and team-building based on respect and integrity 
  • Hold regular conference calls and meetings with team members to monitor performance and motivation 
  • Ensure recruitment aligns with the company’s aircraft allocation plan, controlling fluctuation and demand for personnel 
  • Liaise with training, recruitment, and planning departments to maintain appropriate headcount 
  • Monitor Base Managers’ performance to uphold standards in bases and ensure Crew services meet internal procedures and safety standards 
  • Collaborate with Operations Planning and OCC on crew roster, holidays, duty, and rest time management 
  • Monitor and adjust daily operations related to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as punctuality, sickness levels, and discipline 
  • Monitor weekly KPI trends and demand, reporting to the Head of Cabin Operations 
  • Coordinate with the CC Senior Training Manager on crew training and training records 
  • Work with HR on crew-related matters, including holidays, disciplinary cases, contracts, promotions, and terminations 
  • Collaborate with Facility and Purchasing Managers to establish new offices for WAM bases 
  • Support the opening of new bases and implement improved logistical solutions for the bases 
  • Collaborate with the Cabin Operations Service Manager on sales and service-related issues for WAM bases 
  • Provide guidance and supervision to newly appointed Cabin Crew Base Managers 
  • Lead and coordinate major initiatives (efficiency, service) 
  • Ensure deputization processes are adhered to, as outlined in COMM 4.4.1.1 
  • Member of Crisis Management Center (CMC) 

Experience

  • 5-7+ years overall working experience, with 4+ years of aviation experience 
  • Previous Base Manager experience (advantageous)

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree 

Language

Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
