AOG Desk Specialist 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

Purpose of the role

AOG Desk Specialist is fully responsible for managing daily issues regarding aircraft spare parts provisioning and associated logistic actions. (coordination with suppliers, warehouses, carriers, customs agents). 

Responsibilities

  • Control all component movements, ensuring availability as per contractually agreed terms 
  • Arrange delivery of parts from the main base to outer stations 
  • Coordinate case-by-case logistics activities worldwide 
  • Communicate with Maintenance Providers, Maintenance Operations Control, Maintenance Planners, suppliers, and other involved parties 
  • Ensure material availability for open Work Orders, with a focus on Minimum Equipment List (MEL) related requests 
  • Monitor Loan and Exchange events 
  • Represent the AOG Desk Team at production meetings 
  • Procure urgently needed aircraft spare parts, including placing Purchase, Repair, Loan, and Exchange Orders 
  • Maintain purchasing practices and procedures in compliance with company and EASA requirements 
  • Arrange, trace, and track shipments worldwide 
  • Follow up on open purchase orders to meet operational requirements 
  • Source materials and negotiate pricing for goods and services to ensure cost competitiveness 
  • Communicate with the Maintenance Control Center regarding critical and AOG purchase orders 
  • Report the status of deliveries continuously to all involved departments 
  • Provide alternative plans and address material-related issues as needed 
  • Follow applicable Safety Management System requirements in accordance with Section 4 of OMM 

Experience

  • Experience in logistics is an advantage 
  • 0,5-1 year of business administration background is an advantage 

Hard skills

Computer literacy, with advanced proficiency in MS Office 

Education

Bachelor's or Master’s Degree   

Language

Fluent English (both written and spoken) 

Skills and competencies

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to coordinate and manage logistics activities effectively 
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Ability to work in shifts (day and night shifts)
