Airport Operations Assistant Student 

Based in BUD - Office

Exciting chance for young professionals at Wizz Air’s Operations Department, who either have a student status in Hungary or are fresh graduates and looking to continue their studies.

This is one unique opportunity to be part of the 24/7 Operations Control Centre. Acting as an Airport Operations Assistant, you will play a key role at the time of any airport operations related disruptions. You will be acting as a key point of contact to all airports, liaising as a bridge between the Operations Control Centre, Airport Ground Handling Agents and Ground Operations Managers.

Responsibilities

• Communication, follow-up and assistance in case of irregular operations
• Drafting and sending operational notifications to ground handling companies and hotel/transportation providers
• Communication with ground handlers, following-up on service recovery in real-time
• Authorization of complimentary services
• On-time monitoring of operational messages
• Support for Ground Handlers for smooth operations
• Reporting

Requirements

• Active university/college full-time student status in Hungary
• Ability to work in 12-hour rotation (7:00-19:00, 19:00-7:00) including weekends and holidays, maximum 3-4 shifts/week
• English proficiency
• Problem-solving and organization skills
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Flexible approach and ability to remain diplomatic
• Experience within airport/ground handling operations is an advantage
