Brand Manager 

Based in BUD - Office 

 

 

Purpose of the position:

The Brand Manager leads the development and execution of Wizz Air's brand strategy across 50+ countries, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and mission. This role ensures consistent and effective communication at all customer touchpoints, enhancing the customer experience. The manager translates customer insights into actionable materials and oversees all brand-related communications. Additionally, manage creative agency relationships to ensure the right expertise and evaluate agency deliverables. The ultimate goal is to differentiate the Wizz Air brand and add value to its marketing and sales efforts. 

 

The Brand Manager reports to the Senior Marketing Manager within the Commercial Organization. The role is based in Budapest, Hungary, at Wizz Air’s new HQ.

Responsibilities:

BRAND MANAGEMENT: 

  • Strategize and Guide: Define and implement Wizz Air’s brand strategy in alignment with company vision and mission, ensuring brand guidelines are applied across the organization, marketing materials, sales channels, and the entire customer journey. 
  • Lead Brand Initiatives: Supervise brand delivery across all customer touchpoints, from booking to post-flight services. 
  • Create Insight-Based Communications: Develop customer communication strategies based on insights, working with cross-functional teams and agency resources. 

 

CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION: 

  • Support Marketing Managers: Unify business and customer needs by developing master communication materials for market-specific adaptations. 
  • Ensure Consistency at Airports: Develop master materials for airport communication to maintain a consistent brand appearance. 
  • Translate Insights to Communication: Convert customer insights and business initiatives into effective communication materials throughout the customer journey. 
  • Guide Brand Communications: Provide guidance and supervision for all brand communication materials across the organization. 

 

CREATIVE AGENCY LEADERSHIP: 

  • Ensure Creative Expertise: Maintain the right level of creative agency experience for the marketing organization. 
  • Build Strong Partnerships: Act as the main contact for agencies, fostering strong partnerships. 
  • Negotiate and Evaluate: Initiate negotiations for new agency partners as needed and evaluate the deliverables of existing agencies.  

 

Requirements:

  • Completed university or college degree. 
  • Strong understanding of how to develop brand-based consumer experiences within a service-oriented industry. 
  • Highly digital understanding and the ability to translate digital concepts to consumer experiences. 
  • Minimum 7 years of professional working experience with a blue-chip, highly customer focused company in other fast-growing sectors and/or at creative agencies 
  • Minimum 5 years of fully fledged marketing experience in Marketing roles, with special attention to strategy, brand management and communication 
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams. 
  • Experience in multi-country operations. 
  • Willingness to travel across and beyond Europe. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure ensuring tasks are prioritized and goals are met. 
  • Has stamina, good presentation and communication skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Result-oriented, persistent, dependable, and consistent 
  • Proactive, willing to take initiative and shoulder responsibility 
  • Shows innovation, creativity and good lateral thinking 
  • Inspires confidence and motivates others through example.
