Business Security Manager 

Based in BUD - Office 

Purpose of the position:

The Business Security Manager ensures the protection of Wizz Air’s assets, personnel, and operations by overseeing corporate security measures. This role manages physical security, investigations, event security, and due diligence while leading the security team. By implementing and improving security policies, the Business Security Manager maintains a safe and compliant corporate environment.

Responsibilities:

The Business Security Manager is an employee of Wizz Air responsible for corporate security

matters:

• Physical Security
  • Develop, implement, and oversee physical security policies and procedures.
  • Manage and coordinate manned guarding, ensuring optimal deployment and performance.
  • Oversee access control systems.
  • Maintain and monitor CCTV systems to ensure effective surveillance and quick response to incidents.
  • Regularly review and update security policies to reflect current best practices and emerging threats.
• Investigations
  • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents of shrinkage, pilferage, and declined card transactions.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and other relevant agencies as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed reports of investigation findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Quality Control Activities
  • Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of security measures.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and tests of security procedures and systems.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to enhance security operations.
• Event Security
  • Plan and coordinate security for company events, ensuring the safety of participants and assets.
  • Liaise with event organizers, vendors, and local authorities to establish comprehensive security plans.
  • Deploy and manage security personnel during events to ensure effective coverage and response to incidents.
• Due Diligence
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on third-party providers to ensure they are not on sanction lists or involved in illicit activities.
  • Evaluate the security practices of third-party providers to ensure they meet the company’s standards.
  • Maintain records of due diligence checks and update them regularly.
• Supervisory Requirements
  • The Business Security manager directly supervises the Security Support Manager, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance and development.
  • The Business Security manager directly supervises the Loss Prevention Specialist, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance and development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree
• Fluent spoken/ written English
• Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience and minimum of 5 years’ experience in security/aviation
• Excellent MS Office skills.
• Self-motivated, independent and proactive personality who is willing to take initiative.
• Good interpersonal, communicational and presentation skills. Team player.
• Forward-thinking and problem solving mindset
• Strong supervising skills
• Specialized training in Security management
