Cargo and Sales Development Manager


The Cargo and Sales Development Manager reports to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Sales Managers and the Cargo and Sales Development student report into him/her.

Purpose of the position:

The Cargo and Sales Development Manager’s mission is to maximize Wizz Air’s profitability and balance negative COVID impact by driving additional revenue stream development, including strengthening the sales area as well and building the cargo business line


The manager is primarily responsible for charters, special flights and allotments, as well as for commercial cargo operation, initially focused on the A330F. The key outputs are the following:

  • Charters / special flights:
    • Make charters integral part of the organization and set cross-functional charter processes
    • Conduct business development, contract and operate high contribution margin charter flights
    • Support utilization during low and shoulder periods
    • Strengthen Wizz Air’s government and official partnerships and contribute our brand recognition
  • Allotments :
    • Secure guaranteed profitability by contracting block seats, especially on leisure and lower performing markets
    • Contribute to Wizz's market diversification and strengthen performance of new, mainly leisure connections
  • Commercial cargo operation:
    • Strengthening Wizz Air’s profitability with managing the new commercial cargo operation
    • Guarantee smooth operation of the A330F, taking care of the partnerships with Hungarian Government and Cargo Service Provider
    • Ensuring the organization’s alignment on delivering cross-departmental projects
    • Further develop the commercial cargo line by assessing fleet approach to A330 and belly cargo operation
  • Build and develop the sales and cargo team
  • Ensure smooth organizational cooperation by protecting the interest of the function
