Contracts Oversight Manager 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES (MAIN ACTIVITIES, TASKS): 
Contractual Compliance & Cost Governance
•    Validate supplier charges, including O&A, penalties, non-routine costs, and component-related claims, against approved contracts, work scopes, maintenance inputs, CAMO requirements, and internal procedures.
•    Challenge, reject, resolve, and document unjustified or non-compliant cost claims, maintaining auditable records in line with CAME and internal control requirements.
Supplier Performance Monitoring & Enforcement
•    Maintain structured datasets to monitor supplier performance against contractual KPIs, including TAT, OTD, technical reliability, quality, compliance, and cost performance.
•    Support enforcement of contractual mechanisms, including underperformance quantification, penalties, liquidated damages, and performance-related vendor claims.
Mishandling & Liability Assessment
•    Investigate mishandling claims from component pool providers, assessing technical validity, contractual entitlement, root cause, and responsible party in coordination with CAMO, Material Planning, and MRO stakeholders.
•    Ensure claims are correctly accepted, rejected, redirected where applicable, and recorded for contractual and audit traceability.
Financial Oversight & Budget Control
•    Prepare and maintain quarterly maintenance contract budget tracking, providing visibility of actual versus planned spend, forecasts, cost drivers, and financial risks.
•    Escalate deviations, cost increases, and emerging risks to the Technical Contracts Manager and support internal financial governance.
Data Governance, Reporting & Audit Support
•    Develop and maintain data structures and reports supporting cost validation, supplier performance tracking, contract enforcement, and audit-ready management insight.
•    Support internal and external audits by providing documented evidence aligned with internal standards, CAMO record-keeping, and EASA Part CAMO expectations.
Cross-Functional CAMO Interface & Continuous Improvement
•    Act as an interface between CAMO Engineering, Technical Contracts, Finance, Procurement, Material Planning, and Part-145 maintenance providers to align operational inputs with contractual and financial outcomes.
•    Identify recurring cost drivers, discrepancies, and process inefficiencies, supporting mitigation actions, control improvements, and technical supply chain resilience.

EXPERIENCE

•    3–5+ years of relevant experience in aviation, preferably within: 
•    Technical operations
•    MRO or supplier management
•    Contract management or cost control

TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE    
•    Maintenance contract structures (base, line, component support)
•    Cost validation and supplier performance oversight
•    Familiarity with EASA regulatory framework, including: 
•    Part CAMO, M, 145
•    Experience working in a highly regulated, audit-driven environment
Advanced Excel and data handling skills; experience in reporting and dashboarding tools is an advantage

EDUCATION

   •    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree 

LANGUAGES  

 •    Fluent English (both written and spoken)

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES  

 •    Strong analytical capability with ability to interpret complex technical and financial data sets
Solid understanding of: 
•    Aircraft maintenance processes
•    Cost drivers in MRO and component support
•    Contractual mechanisms (O&A, penalties, performance regimes)
•    High level of attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy, traceability, and compliance
•    Ability to apply structured challenge towards suppliers and internal stakeholders
•    Strong stakeholder management within a multi-functional CAMO environment
