Crew Training Policy Manager 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

This role leads the Crew Training Policy Team, ensuring compliance with AOC OM part-D regulations, monitoring audits, and providing inputs on regulatory changes. It includes collaborating with training departments, supporting instructor standardization, and representing the Group Crew Training Department in audits and meetings.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES (MAIN ACTIVITIES, TASKS). THE FOLLOWING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Acting as team leader of Crew Training Policy Team
  • In conjunction with Crew Training Compliance Supervisor and Crew Training Compliance Assistant monitors and ensures compliance of Wizz Air AOC OM part-D with applicable regulatory requirements and standards
  • In conjunction with Group Operations Regulatory and Policy Manager provide inputs on regulatory changes and draft amendments related to AOC OM part D to AOC CTMs
  • Liaison with AOC CTMs and Compliance and Contracted Activity Manager ensures compliance of AOC OM part D on internal and external audit programs
  • Represent Group Crew Training Department on internal and external audit programs
  • Provide inputs on regulatory changes and results of compliance monitoring audits and inspections on training programs to Crew Training Program Managers
  • Provide inputs on regulatory changes and results of compliance monitoring audits and inspections related to instructor standardisation program Crew Training Standards Manager
  • Provide inputs on regulatory changes and propose RCA/CAPs on compliance monitoring audits and inspections related to crew training to Wizz Air AOC CTMs
  • In liaison with the Wizz Air’s subsidiary training departments, a positive collaboration with defining joint policies and procedures and interoperability
  • Fulfil the role of a Flight Crew Standardization Instructor
  • Presenting in Quarterly SI meeting

Internal Management System Manual:

  • Participating in Group Policy Council meetings
  • Participating in Compliance Review and Coordination meetings
  • Participating in Group Training Managers Meeting
  • Participating on Regulation Tracking Meeting

Authorities of the function:

  • Chair the Group Crew Training Policy meeting

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in working with:

  • Regulations applicable to the AOC holders and associated requirements and procedures
  • The AOC holders’ operations specification
  • Content of relevant parts of the AOC holders’ OPS manuals
  • The AOC holder’s crew training concept for flight, cabin and when relevant another crew
  • Management systems in aviation
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in the aeronautical industry
  • Appropriate management experience, preferably in a comparable organization

Technical knowledge and skills:

  • Strong MS Office knowledge
  • Aircrew Licensing Training Course
  • Auditing Technique – Air OPS compliance monitoring
  • Being a current or former type rating instructor on Airbus is an advantage, but not a must

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Languages:

  • Excellent English

  • Highly innovative, with the ability to build concepts and business cases, ‘sell’ ideas, and drive implementation.
  • Strong operational capabilities to drive processes and execute key initiatives.
  • Exceptional influencing and communication skills to build effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and shape the company culture.
