Division Controller 

Based in Budapest 

Purpose of the role:

The Division Controller will have responsibility for all controlling related to Revenue and Commercial Route Profitability reporting, and is expected to deliver best-in-class forecasting, financial analysis, and insights while driving relentless process improvement and profitability optimization. Working closely with Commercial functions, such as Revenue and Pricing departments to monitor performance and the execution of their commercial plans and objectives. Contributing to projects.

The successful candidate will also be expected to drive process improvement initiatives to ensure the financial planning and control processes remain scalable with the growth of the business, and to keep the business accountable for delivering profitability.

Responsibilities:

The main focus of the role will be to take responsibility for controlling related to Revenue and route profitability.  This includes:

• Developing the annual budget and three-year plan and updating the monthly forecast
• Promoting Wizz Air’s ultra-low-cost values by driving and tracking transformative revenue-optimizing initiatives in line with long term strategies
• Providing oversight of financial control processes
• Leading performance and accountability meetings with senior management to present the latest trends and analysis
• Contributing to month close activities, reporting, and analysis
• Supporting the Head of Controlling, CFO and wider Leadership Team with impactful financial analysis

Requirements:

• 3-6+ years overall working experience with 3+ years of relevant professional experience in a finance or controlling role

• Airline experience or experience within Commercial Controlling is a strong plus
• Strong technical understanding of accounting principles with an emphasis on revenue recognition
• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with SQL databases and Power BI is an advantage
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in economics, finance, or accounting
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• Excellent analytical skills
• Hard-working with a can-do attitude
• Strong presentation skills
