Fleet Acquisition Manager

Purpose of the role

The Junior Fleet Acquisition Manager takes part in the purchasing, financing and management of the fastest growing European low-cost airline’s fleet, with a target to reach 500 aircraft during the coming years. Key responsibilities include contracting, contract management and overseeing invoices, credits and cash-flows related to the procurement and financing of Wizz Air’s fleet. Responsibilities also include relationship management with a portfolio of OEMs, suppliers and leasing companies, as well identifying and coordinating process improvement initiatives. 

Responsibilities

• Manage or participate in tenders for supplier selection, and contracting projects 
• Ensure that the airline fulfils its obligations under the existing aircraft, engine and financing agreements; 
• Manage relationship with a portfolio of suppliers, OEMs and aircraft lessors; identify and deliver savings and new agreements; 
• Participate in the delivery process of new aircraft and engines and support redelivery projects by lease expiries; 
• Conduct financial analysis and evaluation related to selection tenders and contracting projects; 
• Register and oversee details of major fleet contracts in master files and databases 
• Support the financial planning and budgeting process in internal systems 
• Coordinate process improvement projects, contract development initiatives and innovations in the Fleet acquisition domain 

Experience

• 1-3+ years overall working experience 
• A self-motivated individual with demonstrated capacity for ownership and responsibility
