Governance and IT Controlling Manager 

Based in Budapest 

Purpose of the position:

As Wizz Air continues its rapid growth IT Governance become a crucial part of transparent delivery and portfolio management. Wizz Air is recruiting its Global IT Governance team to achieve the company’s IT governance vision.

To be successful, the candidate will have medior project, portfolio and governance expertise and leadership profile. This means the right candidate brings content knowledge but also the business acumen, credibility and interpersonal skills required to execute cross functionally.

Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to the Governance Framework Design and Implementation:
   • Contribute to the creation of IT governance framework that includes principles, policies, forums, roles, and responsibilities.
   • Contribute to the creation of project and portfolio management processes, framework and governance, tools and templates
   • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT governance.
2. Operate the IT Governance and IT Controlling Framework
   • Maintain and operate the IT governance framework
   • Operate the IT planning and controlling processes
   • Operate the project and portfolio governance framework
   • Regularly evaluate the project and portfolio health
   • Operate time reporting and assignment-administration processes
   • Support horizontal planning of the IT portfolio
   • Operate and fine-tune dashboards using metrics and data visualization techniques
3. Performance Measurement and Reporting:
   • Regularly evaluate and report on IT governance effectiveness.
   • Work closely with IT managers and external partners to promote IT governance awareness.
   • Ensure compliance with IT governance framework related regulations, standards, and best practices.

Skills and competencies:

• Experience of managing and partnering with 3rd party suppliers
• Knowledge and awareness of trends in IT governance, project and portfolio management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and persuasive skills

Requirements:

• Fluent English
• College or University degree
• Min. 3 years of IT governance, project or portfolio management experience
• Experience in various aspects of IT management, e.g. IT Strategy, IT Demand Management, IT Risk Management, IT Vendor Management and IT Controlling
  Practical experience in the implementation of IT policies and procedures
• Knowledge of IT project management and IT governance tools and techniques
• Highly Desirable - Accreditation in leading practices such as COBIT, ITIL, CGEIT, project management or agile methodologies.
