Head of Pricing and Revenue Management 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


The Head of Pricing and Revenue Management is responsible for defining and executing the pricing strategy to maximize revenue performance and support commercial objectives across the dedicated region. The role leads a Pricing and Revenue Management team and ensures pricing decisions are data-driven, market-responsive, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals. The position plays a key role in identifying revenue opportunities, optimizing fare structures, monitoring market dynamics, and driving pricing initiatives that enhance competitiveness and profitability.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES (MAIN ACTIVITIES, TASKS). THE FOLLOWING, BUT NOT LIMITED
Pricing Strategy & Performance
•    Define and implement pricing strategies that maximize revenue performance and support commercial objectives.
•    Establish pricing frameworks, policies, and guidelines to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
•    Continuously evaluate and optimize fare structures, pricing architecture, and ancillary pricing opportunities.
•    Monitor pricing performance and identify opportunities to improve yield, competitiveness, and profitability.
•    Lead pricing reviews and recommend tactical and strategic pricing actions based on market conditions and business priorities.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
•    Oversee competitor pricing analysis and market monitoring to ensure timely and effective commercial responses.
•    Analyze customer demand patterns, booking behaviour, and market trends to support pricing decisions.
•    Identify emerging opportunities and risks within the competitive landscape and recommend appropriate actions.
Commercial Collaboration
•    Support commercial campaigns by providing pricing recommendations that balance revenue performance and market competitiveness.
•    Collaborate with Network Planning, Airport Development, and other key stakeholders to ensure pricing strategies support broader commercial objectives.
•    Contribute to commercial projects, route evaluations, and strategic initiatives requiring pricing expertise.
Leadership & Governance
•    Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing Pricing and Revenue Management team.
•    Ensure effective prioritization of team activities and alignment with business objectives.
•    Establish clear pricing governance and decision-making processes.
•    Ensure accurate and timely pricing analysis, reporting, and performance reviews for senior management.
•    Present pricing recommendations, market insights, and performance updates to executive stakeholders.
•    Drive continuous improvement in pricing methodologies, processes, and analytical capabilities.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 
EXPERIENCE  

•    Minimum 7 years of experience in Pricing, Revenue Management, Airline Commercial Strategy, or a related commercial function.
•    3+ years of people management experience
•    Demonstrated success in developing and implementing pricing strategies that deliver measurable commercial results.


TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

•    Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
•    Deep understanding of pricing principles, market dynamics, consumer behaviour, and commercial drivers.
•    Strong capability to translate data and market insights into actionable pricing decisions.
•    Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.


EDUCATION 

•    University degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or another analytical discipline.


LANGUAGES

 •    Fluent English (both written and spoken).
