Internal Communications Manager 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

Purpose of the position:

Play a key role within the Corporate Communications department of Wizz Air, managing the company's reputation internally, towards the media, and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Internal Communications:
    • Effectively manage Workvivo as the primary source of information for all WIZZ-related news and events, focusing on driving engagement and adoption of the platform.
    • Ensure a constant and timely flow of strategic, operational, and organizational updates to all employees while actively responding to questions or feedback to uphold an efficient, transparent and honest two way company-employee dialogue.
    • Support the organization of physical and virtual company events, including regular All Hands employee sessions, the annual company birthday and Christmas parties, and WIZZ running events.
    • Support various departments with their internal communications needs.
    • Ensure all corporate communications templates and materials (both physical and digital) are up to date and used in line with Wizz Air’s brand guidelines.
    • Organize internal video production and photo shoots.
    • Manage internal email distribution lists.
    • Ensure communication flows, structure, and policies are kept up to date and followed in all internal communications.
  • Crisis Communications:
    • Handle internal communications in the event of any crisis situations.
    • Advise management on effective internal communication actions in crisis situations.
    • Prepare and update the respective internal communications strategy to protect the company’s reputation during a crisis.
  • Employee Engagement:
    • Conceptualize and deliver internal engagement campaigns centred around Wizz Air’s core values for both crew and office employees.
    • Manage employee participation in all WIZZ running events.
    • Support internal and external employer branding activities.
  • Corporate Sustainability:
    • Help drive the sustainability agenda within the organization as a member of the Sustainability project team, with a focus on People initiatives.
    • Support the production of Sustainability-related internal and external communications materials.
    • Align with stakeholders on outcomes and areas for improvement for the next year

 

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years overall working experience with 2+ years of relevant experience in internal communications, CSR, or employer branding.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience in managing social media platforms is a plus
  • Video production and cutting skills is a plus
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business-related subject.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; Command of another language is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and communication skills.
  • Solid writing skills.
  • Effective research and administrative skills.
  • Initiative, eye for detail, team player, quick thinker.
  • Resourceful, flexible, and responsive in dealing with people.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines.

Other Requirements:

  • Availability for international travel up to 30% of the time.
