Material Planner 

Based in Budapest 

Purpose of the position:

The Material Planner ensures continuous material supply to support aircraft maintenance activities. The role executes and monitors the purchasing process for aircraft spare parts, based on scheduled maintenance plans and ad-hoc requests. Material Planner maintains daily communication with vendors, warehouses, maintenance engineers, logistics providers, and aviation engineers across all Wizz Air maintenance stations and offices in Europe. The position plays a key role in ensuring material availability, minimizing aircraft downtime, and supporting operational reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Place and track the orders required for the maintenance events.
• Ensure compliance of the materials with the aviation standards.
• Provide information to the maintenance team regarding the availability of materials.
• Execution of operational procurement and logistics tasks related to material supply.
• Inventory management of spares in accordance with the group policy and goals.
• Master and transactional data management. 

Requirements:

• Any experience or few years of experience in supply chain, logistics, OR aviation
• Proficiency in MS Office (advanced level)
• Advanced user level of IT proficiency, high level skills in any ERP system and Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor’s degree
• Engineering background (preferred)
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Knowledge of logistics, purchasing processes
• Ability to work independently, with precision and excellent organizational skills. Demonstrates strong collaboration, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Flexible and creative, able to adapt to changing situations and propose innovative solutions.
• Strong team player with the ability to organize and manage tasks effectively
