Purpose of the position:

 

  • The purpose of this role is improve operational efficiency across multiple Wizz Air airlines by leading various project teams to introduce new solutions.
  • Furthermore, you will have the chance to promote the structured project management culture within the organization.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Managing cross-functional projects, to drive transformation and innovation among Wizz Air’s Operations functions.
  • Ensuring projects are being implemented across all Wizz Air airlines (Group Level), while maintaining standardization about their project status reporting and project execution methodologies
  • Establishing and leading project teams as per the needs of the particular projects.
  • Ensuring clear internal and external communication towards the project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the execution of approved Central Operation Projects carried out by the airlines AOCs and Central organization
  • Develop, present business cases, roadmaps and provide regular updates to the leadership team until the project successfully realizes.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly Project Committee meetings
  • Ensure Central Operation Projects project closure reporting, comparing expected project goals (planned budget, timeline, forecasted savings, success KPIs, etc…) with actual results and materialized benefit in order to enhance planning and project execution 
  • Occasionally attend supplier events to explore new efficient solutions, business opportunities, products with the aim to improve efficiency and foster the business.
  • Support and improve further already existing services provided to all Wizz Air airlines.

 

Requirements:

 

  • University MA/MSc degree
  • Self-motivated, independent and proactive personality, who is willing to take initiative.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills
  • Great problem solving and organizational skills
  • Experience of managing complex projects
  • Ability to work well under pressure, while ensuring tasks are prioritized and the goals are met
  • Able to delegate tasks and follow-up the status of the projects
  • Strong team player
  • Fluent spoken / written English
  • Based in Budapest
