People Project Manager 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

Purpose of the role

The People Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects within the People organization, from conception to completion. The jobholder will work closely with HR leadership and cross-functional teams on various seniority levels to develop project plans, coordinate resources, manage budgets, and ensure successful project outcomes. The People Project Manager will report directly to Head of HR. 

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management:  

  • Coordinate and provide project management support to some of the most impactful strategic/operational network-wide People projects to ensure they are delivered successfully. 
  • Develop detailed project plans for all People initiatives, ensuring clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables. 
  • Drive and continuously improve the project management processes and governance structures that are being put in place to improve project delivery within the function. Including, but not limited to tracking and monitoring, project initiation, project update meetings. 

Stakeholder Coordination:  

  • Build and maintain close trusted partnerships across the People team and stakeholders across the organization to enable collaboration, delivery, support and success on all People projects. 
  • Hold the People Team and their stakeholders accountable when it comes to projects, their planning and on-time deliverables. 
  • Increase the project management capability of the People team through delivering and developing training, implementing project management toolkits  

Budget and Resource Management:  

  • Support the People team and HR leadership to identify and recommend areas, where the focus should sit and help with prioritization. 
  • Oversee project budgets and resources, optimizing allocation to achieve project goals efficiently. 

Risk Mitigation:  

  • Support, where applicable, with change management and communications from planning to execution to ensure alignment across project change and communication activities. 
  • Proactively identify and address potential risks to project success, implementing strategies to minimize impact. 

Outcome Evaluation:  

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of project outcomes, reporting on success metrics and identifying areas for improvement. 

Experience

4-6+ years of overall experience with 3+ years of experience in a similar role 

Hard skills

  • Strong project management and change management experience and capabilities 
  • Proficiency in MS Office 
  • Expertise in business process management, process design methodologies and techniques 
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification and/or Project Management certification is a plus 

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management is preferred 

Language

Fluent English (both written and spoken) 

Skills and competencies

  • High level of effective communication with ability to adapt style and language to the audience 
  • Ability to analyse information to reach an answer or conclusion, challenge status quo 
  • Effective problem-solving skills, end-to-end thinking across data, technology, processes and teams
