Pricing and Revenue Specialist 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

Purpose of the position:

The Pricing and Revenue Specialist supports the management and pricing of a portfolio of markets, contributing to the achievement of revenue targets. The role focuses on maximizing revenue by assisting in fare optimization and load factor strategies to ensure customers receive “the right price at the right time.”. The specialist will help monitor market performance, track competitive dynamics, and identify opportunities for incremental revenue growth, while collaborating closely with the Pricing and Revenue Manager and cross-functional teams to implement pricing strategies and support decision-making through data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Yield Management:

  • Assist in daily monitoring of sales trends and reporting key observations
  • Track competitor fare and capacity changes under guidance  
  • Support analysis of performance drivers and contribute ideas to address revenue gaps or opportunities 
  • Help review pricing for individuals, groups, and allotments with oversight 
  • Assist in executing promotions and special event pricing strategies 

 

Innovation:

  • Participate in projects aimed at improving Pricing and Yield Management tools 
  • Collaborate with Data Science and IT teams to contribute to process improvements 
  • Contribute to discussions on new initiatives in Revenue Management 

 

Others:

  • Prepare draft presentations and reports for review by senior team members 
  • Represent the Pricing and Revenue team in selected cross-functional meetings, as delegated
  • Support communication with the sales team regarding tour operator and group pricing 
  • Collaborate with teams such as Marketing, Digital Revenue, and Network Planning to support revenue initiatives 
  • Apply data-driven insights with guidance to understand market dynamics 

 

Requirements:

  • Previous professional/internship experience is an advantage, ideally in roles involving pricing, strategy, consulting, or data analysis. 
  • Exposure to working with and interpreting data and analytics is an advantage.  
  • Experience in the travel industry is a plus but not required.   
  • This role is suitable for candidates looking to build foundational skills in pricing and revenue management under the guidance of experienced team members.  
  • Proficient in MS Excel/PowerPoint.    
  • Additional technical skills a plus: PowerBI, SQL, etc.  
  • Fluent spoken / written English
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills  
  • University degree in business, economics, engineering, sciences or other analytical field.  
  • Fluent spoken / written English  
  • Good presentation and communication skills.  
  • Collaborative mindset; able to contribute effectively to cross-functional projects under guidance.
