Procurement Process Implementation Manager 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

Purpose of the position:

 

The Procurement Process Implementation Manager will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the end-to-end Purchase Order (PO) and vendor management processes as part of the company’s transition from Microsoft Dynamics to SAP S/4HANA and Ariba.

This role acts as the bridge between business operations, finance, and technology—ensuring procurement processes are efficient, standardized, and compliant while supporting the company’s operational excellence and cost optimization objectives.

Responsibilities:

 

Process Design & Implementation

  • Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and rollout of the PO process within SAP S/4HANA and Ariba, covering requisition-to-payment.
  • Define and implement governance standards, approval workflows, and internal controls to ensure consistency, transparency, and compliance.
  • Partner with IT and system integrators to translate business requirements into optimized system configurations and automated workflows.

 

Master Data & Vendor Management

 

  • Oversee vendor master data governance, ensuring data quality, ownership, and integration across ERP and Ariba systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of contract inventories, supplier hierarchies, and compliance documentation.

 

Stakeholder & Change Management

 

  • Act as the key liaison between Procurement, Finance, Operations, and the Digital/IT functions throughout design and deployment phases.
  • Drive user adoption through structured change management, clear communication, and training programs.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and stabilization activities for procurement modules.

 

Performance & Compliance

 

  • Develop and monitor procurement KPIs and dashboards to measure efficiency, policy adherence, and business impact.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and internal/external audit standards.

 

Continuous Improvement

 

  • Champion process optimization and digitalization initiatives to increase automation, reduce manual intervention, and improve cycle times.
  • Identify and implement best practices for strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost control.

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or process ownership role within a multinational or complex operational environment.


Technical Expertise:


  • Strong knowledge of PO management, procurement processes, and ERP systems.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (S/4HANA, Ariba, or MM module) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of master data governance and system integration principles.

 

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical and structured thinker with the ability to design scalable, practical solutions.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to drive change across functions.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Airline or aviation industry experience is an advantage.
