Revenue Insight Manager 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

Purpose of the role

The Revenue Insight Manager assists in developing pricing systems, implementing and overseeing systematic pricing strategy to ensure performance is in line with network, market and route level goals.  

The Revenue Insight Manager reports to the Senior Revenue Optimization Manager within the Revenue organization. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing innovative yield management techniques and strategies  
  • Analyse data and initiate necessary changes to pricing, systems settings and system functionalities if results deviate from expected targets 
  • Conduct regular and ad hoc analysis and presentation to the senior management to support decision making. 
  • Collaborate frequently with Trading teams to customise system settings by markets according to demand and competitive context. 
  • Work closely with Data Science team on complex revenue related analyses. 
  • Support the continuous development of Revenue Management Systems 
  • Participate in cross functional commercial projects 

Experience

  • 3-5+ years of work experience in pricing or strategy function, management consulting, alternatively in an analytically driven role 
  • Experience in travel, e-commerce, or online marketing is a plus. 

Hard skills

  • Proficient in MS Excel/PowerPoint. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications 
  • Additional technical skills a plus: VBA, PowerBI, SQL. 

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree 

Language

Fluent spoken and written English 

Skills and competencies

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience in working with and interpreting data and analytics. 
  • Good understanding of core economic concepts and principles. 
  • Team player, able to work in cross-functional projects efficiently. 
  • Structured thinking, ability to break down complex problems and explain them clearly. 
  • Strong presentation skills. 
  • Desire to learn more about the low-cost airline and travel industry as well as to develop analytical and managerial skills. 
  • Comfortable with uncertain and rapidly changing business environment. 
  • Ability to work under pressure. 
  • Proactive, willing to take initiative and shoulder responsibility. 
  • Fluent English knowledge (both spoken and written). 
  • Openness to live and work in Budapest, Hungary. 
  • Limited travel required (20% of working time).
