Sales Manager 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

Purpose of the position:

The Sales Manager will be primarily responsible for driving Allotment and Charter sales revenue, and implementing and executing the Sales Development Strategy for the markets under responsibility. The person is also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Tour Operators and corporate partners, identifying new partners and opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Sales Development under Market Responsibility

  • Responsible for markets with well-established partnerships with tour operators, as well as existing Wizz Air markets requiring market penetration and business growth.
  • Implement the Sales Development Strategy across responsible markets to achieve set KPIs.
  • Assess interest for routes and provide valuable input to Network Development and Scheduling.
  • Conduct market visits to maintain relationships with tour operators and other B2B partners and gather first-hand market insights.
  • Participate in travel fairs, exhibitions, chamber of commerce meetings, and other relevant sales-related events.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on Wizz Air’s offerings as needed.
  • Promote the business to trade partners, tour operators, and travel agents, creating maximum brand awareness among trade partners for Wizz Air.
  • Manage requests for seat allotments and charters.
  • Oversee the contracting of all concluded deals.
  • Act as the point of contact for partners throughout the contract duration, utilizing call centers or other support for managing bookings, changes, payments, and customer service aspects.
  • Propose digital developments and automation based on inquiries, learnings, and experiences.
  • Support digital and automation developments to improve B2B processes with Tour Operators and increase Sales team efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain the travel agent/tour operator database, cooperating with Chambers of Commerce and other B2B partners such as large corporations.
  • Cooperate with the rest of the Commercial and Digital teams within Wizz Air. 

 

Requirements:

  • College or University degree.
  • 3-5+ years of working experience with 2+ years of working experience in commercial/business-focused roles.
  • Commercially minded with a strong sales attitude, utilizing data for decision making.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in managing complex projects and successfully aligning large organizations.
  • Sales experience in the travel industry (Tour Operators, Travel Agencies, Airlines, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure, ensuring tasks are prioritized and goals are met, has stamina.
  • Result-oriented, persistent, dependable, and consistent.
  • Proactive, willing to take initiative and shoulder responsibility.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Polish, Romanian, Hungarian, Italian is a plus.
