Senior E-Commerce Manager 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

Purpose of the position:

The Senior E-Commerce Manager is a senior digital leader responsible for driving Wizz Air’s commercial performance across 50+ countries through its digital channels, including wizzair.com and the WIZZ mobile app. With nearly 800 million annual visitors, this role owns the strategy, execution, and optimization of the full digital funnel - delivering measurable growth in revenue, conversion, and customer satisfaction.

 

This role leads one of Wizz Air’s cross-functional product teams, embedding structured product management and agile delivery practices across platforms. The Senior Manager collaborates closely with Commercial, Digital, and Legal stakeholders, manages external vendors, and drives innovation across web, app, and emerging digital touchpoints. As a key digital leader, the role plays a critical part in shaping the future of Wizz Air’s e-Commerce ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve the e-Commerce strategy across web and app digital channels, aligned with Wizz Air’s commercial and digital vision.
  • Drive measurable growth in revenue, conversion, and customer engagement through data-driven decision-making.
  • Define and monitor strategic KPIs including revenue per visitor, conversion rate, CLV, LTB, payment CR, and digital NPS.
  • Oversee full-funnel performance from acquisition to post-booking engagement, ensuring seamless customer journeys.
  • Lead and develop structured Agile Product Management practices across e-Commerce teams and platforms, evolves practices for AI Product Management.
  • Develops and collaboratively maintains PM Management playbook and practices to deliver more value faster.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across Commercial, Digital, and IT to align priorities and drive execution.
  • Assigned as Product Manager for specific products in customer journey next to their People management responsibilities for other Product Managers in a team. 
  • Represent e-Commerce in cross-functional leadership forums and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor and coach a high-performing team of E-Commerce Product Managers, fostering talent development and succession planning.
  • Own budget, ensuring efficient allocation and cost control.
  • Drive cross-platform consistency and innovation across web, app, and emerging digital touchpoints.
  • Champion experimentation and optimization frameworks (e.g. A/B testing, personalization, CRO) to improve performance.
  • Develop and lead AI-driven initiatives to enhance digital channels, merchandising techniques, and customer support across digital platforms.

 

Requirements:

  • 5-7+ years overall working experience, with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience with a blue-chip, highly customer focused company in fast growing sectors
  • Minimum 4 years of fully fledged e-commerce experience
  • Broad e-commerce experience (customer acquisition, website and app management, CRM, SEM, web/app analytics, customer engagement)
  • Proficient in Agile delivery and Product Management practices
  • AI product development experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Management skills, proven experience building winning teams.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making
  • Strategy development and commercial acumen
  • Experience of managing complex projects in multi-country operations.
  • Digital product management and agile delivery
  • Ability to work well under pressure ensuring tasks are prioritized and goals are met.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Result-oriented, persistent, dependable and consistent.
  • Innovation mindset and experimentation culture
  • Experience with AI and automation in digital commerce
