Senior Fleet Transition Manager 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

Purpose of the role

Manage, control, and coordinate Wizz Air’s aircraft redeliveries, deliveries, and warranty support within the allowable budget. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the life cycle of fleet lease agreements, redelivery conditions, and contracts. 
  • Manage and supervise subcontractors for End-of-Lease projects (EOL), aircraft deliveries, and warranty management. 
  • Provide support during lease agreement negotiations. 
  • Coordinate lease return with lessors, including initial meetings, final closure, and negotiation of exclusions. 
  • Coordinate redelivery activities within Technical Services, aligned with Company and Local Authority requirements. 
  • Manage lease return program, including long-term redelivery plan optimization. 
  • Establish standards, processes, and procedures for use during EOL. 
  • Create executive reports about the EOL program. 
  • Create and control the budget for the EOL program and events. 
  • Promote good and clear communication between all teams and lessors involved in the End of Lease; resolve conflicts. 
  • Ensure that services, materials, and resources are planned and procured on time, in sufficient quality and quantity, and are complementary to each other. 
  • Analyze each EOL event result, learn lessons, and use them to improve processes. 
  • Manage and supervise aircraft delivery in accordance with regulatory requirements, company procedures, and standards. 
  • Manage and supervise employees in the Fleet Transition department. 
  • Provide support for RFPs launched at the airline or Indigo Partners group level. 
  • Evaluate technical modifications proposed by the manufacturer or Company. 
  • Manage aircraft delivery documents and certificates for new aircraft delivery. 
  • Participate in invoice checking and cost control of deliveries, redeliveries, and warranty management. 
  • Manage and control aircraft warranty claims, including concessions during aircraft production, and provide monthly status reports on warranty claims. 
  • Follow applicable requirements of the Safety Management System. 
  • Perform other tasks as stipulated by the Head of Technical Services. 

Experience

Minimum of 5-7+ years experience in aircraft leasing, financing, or maintenance, or at least 4+ years of proven track record in project management (technical/financial)

Hard skills

  • Thorough knowledge of EASA OPS, Part M (including Subpart I), Part 145, and relevant parts of Part 21 regulation. 
  • Thorough knowledge of the CAME. 
  • Good knowledge of AMOS and MS Office tools. 

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in Engineering)

Language

Fluent English (both written and spoken)

  • High degree of adaptability and strategic thinking in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
