Wizz Air is offering a unique opportunity to young talents in the last 1-2 years of their university studies, passionate about the aviation, to fly into the world of Wizz Air.

You will get the opportunity to discover and experience full scope activities of one selected Function within Wizz Air’s Headquarters in Budapest, Hungary. You will be given the chance to rotate between functional departments or remain in one role, learning live from real industry experts, working on transformative, complex projects and can land yourself a full-time employment with Wizz Air.

Please note, that you will be the member of your selected department for the first 12 months of your traineeship, after this period you will have the chance to rotate to another department within the given function.

WE ARE HIRING MANAGEMENT TRAINEES
TO THE FOLLOWING DEPARTMENTS:

Group Training Department is responsible for training new pilots and cabin crew under the Wizz Air organizations of ATO (Approved Training Organizations) and CCTO (Cabin Crew Training Organization).

Responsibilities:

  • Configuration set up and amendment.
  • Ensure that TMS meets its standard configuration (notifications, metadata properties).
  • Ensure that standard configuration has been amended with the changes caused by new developments.
  • Act as 1st level of technical support before submitting support tickets to vendors.

Tasks in relation to workflows automation platform:

  • Administration of workspaces belonging to Group Training (including modifications and analytics set up).
  • Additional boards configuration.
  • Connecting Group Training boards with other departments’ boards. End-to-end process set-up and management.

Process development:

  • Assist with standardizing and simplifying workflows.
  • Identify workflows that can be automated.

Marketing is responsible for raising brand awareness in our focus regions through regional campaigns, social media, running event sponsorships, and marketing stunts. We are also responsible for the brand and our onboard magazine.

Responsibilities:

  • Support with day to day execution of digital and social campaigns.
  • Collaborate with our agencies to ensure brand consistency.
  • Keeping our brand hub up to date and organised according to our guidelines.

The Organizational Development Team is owning and responsible for developing, implementing and running key, talent and organization development projects and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Own Office Employee Onboarding program by end-to-end organization of sessions and management of the online onboarding programs.
  • Support the existing talent and training programs by planning, organization and communication.
  • Create and provide inputs for management reports, conduct analytical researches.
  • Participate in other Organizational Development and Recruitment Teams activities (organizational charts, headcount tracking, recruitment events, anniversary awards distribution).

The Purchasing department works on a full range of indirect procurement and service contract management related projects associated with the operation of the airline, while reporting to the Head of Purchasing of Wizz Air Group. The primary focus of the Purchasing Trainee role is the administrational support of the running projects led by the Purchasing Managers.

The successful candidate will support and ensure that all procurement processes are carried out according to the company’s purchasing policy with the guidance of the Purchasing Managers. An important part of the role is managing all stages of competitive provider selection processes (Tenders). These stages include internal need assessments, Request for Proposal formulations, project management, financial assessment and risk analysis, provider selection, contract negotiation and decision paper preparation.

Managing the company’s contract inventory and filing systems are also part of the responsibilities, in order to ensure the updated and accurate contract handling of the Company.

Responsibilities:

Specific job tasks include, but are not limited to some set of the following activities:

  • Conducting market research on and identifying potential providers.
  • Handling queries and questions of providers.
  • Compiling financial calculations and building Excel models for proposal evaluation.
  • Preparing end product and deliverables (presentation, executive summary materials, etc.).
  • Securing the compliance with internal approval procedures.
  • Handling executed contracts and ensuring the Company’s contract inventory is up-to-date.
  • Supporting the creation and change of internal procedures and automation.

The mission of the Network Development team is to shape the current and future route network of Wizz Air. Deciding which new geographies to explore and add to the network and optimizing the existing route portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Help the managers to create new route performance assessments.
  • Review market trends and create comprehensive reports distributed to management.
  • Develop ad-hoc analysis to support the development of the route network.
  • Analysing the performance of the existing route portfolio making recommendations for optimization.
  • Benchmark competitor capacity changes and synthetise findings to capture trends and opportunities.

The Airport Development department acts as the airline's strategic bridge to airports, supporting negotiations with stakeholders, managing contract administration, and analyzing airport traffic trends. By providing comprehensive data and reports, the department plays a crucial role in securing strategic partnerships and optimizing airport operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather market intelligence from the field for the rest of the organization: competitive entries/exits, market news, etc.
  • Build negotiation skills by attending meetings with various stakeholders alongside the Airport Development managers and the Head of Airport development.
  • Support managers with administrative tasks related to contracting, contract inventory, and invoice control.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly marketing reports for partners.
  • Prepare statistics on traffic development at airports.
  • Monitor contractual obligations of existing deals.
  • Support automatization tasks and performing system testing.

The mission of the Forecasting & Revenue Systems department is to maximize ticket revenue via continuous development of demand forecast based dynamic pricing and tactical trading interventions reflecting to the latest market conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Ancillary PRM Manager with ancillary pricing tool implementations and A/B testing.
  • Supporting Ticket PRM Manager with analysing overbooking, group and allotment pricing processes.
  • Support PRM System Managers with evaluating the test performance of AI based pricing initiatives.
  • Supporting Forecasting Managers with running outlier checks on route level.

Treasury, Tax and Investor Relations department is vital to the financial health and success of Wizz Air. Treasury involves the management of liquidity and financial risks in a business. Its priority is to ensure the business has the cash it needs to manage its day-to-day business obligations, while also helping develop its long term financial strategy and policies. They minimize tax liabilities and communicate the financial health of the company to investors.

Responsibilities:

  • Review various financial data sets to enhance correctness and compliance.
  • Play a role in the implementation of system developments.
  • Ensure daily payment operations and maintain banking relationships.
  • Partner with internal teams and vendors for issue resolution.
  • Support the short- and medium-term cash forecasts.
  • Help create reports on cash flow forecasts.
  • Prepare and hold presentations related to projects.

Working in the heart of Digital organization, the Digital Engineering & Architecture team is responsible for ensuring stable and sustainable solutions are being delivered within Wizz Air. The main focus of the Engineering Management team is on the customer-facing e-commerce website (wizzair.com) and mobile app developments aiming for customer journey excellence. The Architecture team plays a key role in driving specific analysis, designs, plans, and implementations of enterprise-grade solutions matching the business requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Shape the future of technology landscape by staying on top of industry trends (cloud practices, solutions, tools, etc.).
  • Formulate engineering principles and guidelines, adapting best-in-class methodologies across the organization.
  • Contribute to wizzair.com development program in various topics (organizational setup, ownership of small developments, etc.).
  • Create proper metrics (delivery performance, etc.) and KPIs to measure the success of website-related development activities.

The mission of the Pricing department is to maximize ticket revenue via continuous development of demand forecast-based dynamic pricing and tactical trading interventions reflecting the latest market conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Special event calendar mapping dashboard report.
  • Further optimizing group and allotment pricing algorithm.
  • Ancillary price A/B testing.
  • Booking flow product placement/reordering testing.

The organisation is responsible for the observance and development of Safety and Compliance standards in line with the regulatory framework. The development, fostering, and promotion of the Safety and Compliance Management System is a key area of focus, particularly with the integration and onboarding of high numbers of new joiners.

Responsibilities:

  • Participation in the development of Aviation Safety Management System and Compliance Monitoring Function to ensure safe aircraft operation.
  • Monitoring and follow-up of open action items.
  • Define and maintain statistics and dashboards regarding audits and inspections, analyze trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support airline and aircraft document storage:
    • Collect, prepare, and maintain aircraft documents (in relation to fleet changes).
    • Monitor the contracted operator data validity (in relation to leasing activities).
    • Collect and maintain safety reports, monitor safety performance of leasing operators.
    • Design and maintain training and qualification database, collect and store training records and personal files.
  • Administrative tasks and ad-hoc support for Safety and Compliance team members as required.

  • Support the daily operation of the team by preparing memos and minutes of weekly team meetings.
  • Help with cross-functional data collection.
  • Contribute to doing research and preparing briefs or bios for meetings.
  • Monitor and prepare recurring reports about upcoming elections in Wizz Air’s key markets.
  • Prepare or revise presentations for the team.
  • Understand European Union (e.g. Green Deal) and country-specific sustainability and climate change regulation and development.
