Cabin Operations Policy and Standards Manager 

Based in Budapest 

 

 

Position in the organization:

Cabin Operations Policy and Standards Manager reports to Senior Operations Policy and Standards Manager.

 

 

Purpose of the position:

Cabin Operations Policy and Standards Manager is responsible for definition and alignment of operational process and procedures in Cabin Operations.

Responsibilities of the function:

  • Manage her reporting lines in transparent manner (both structure and process), in accordance with the company core values, build the team with respect and integrity.
  • Chair meetings on regular intervals with Cabin Operations Policy and Standards Coordinators to ensure appropriate, two way information flow and alignment.
  • Create, recommend for approval non-safety related process and procedure development as required based on observed or reported trends in liaison with Inflight Service Manager.
  • Cooperate with HR department on corporate policy establishment and implementation with departmental relevance.
  • Ensuring that all relevant safety information is assessed and reviewed in coordination with Safety and Compliance Teams. Where appropriate, mitigating action or appropriate cabin operational policy and procedures are implemented or changed.
  • Attend the monthly functional Safety Action Group (SAG) meeting.
  • Chair the weekly Group Cabin Ops Policy Council meeting.
  • Action any relevant safety issues arising with appropriate changes to Cabin Operations policy and procedures.
  • Monitor departmental, cross departmental policies and procedures to ensure full alignment of those as required and facilitate implementation.
  • Maintain relations with the competent Authority regarding the standards of Cabin Operations policies and standards.
  • To ensure that Cabin Operations procedures and policies are standardized among the all AOCs.
  • Propose and coordinate changes to the Head of Cabin Ops/ Chief Cabin Crew for the AOC Manuals.
  • Participate departmental and cross-functional working groups as required in relation to departmental initiatives.
  • Provides feedback and cascades information within the department both verbal and in written form.
  • Provide support in preparation for the Internal and External Audits, and in case of any findings or observations, provide support in creating root cause analyse and corrective action plan.
  • Taking part or leading the projects related to the scope of the responsibilities e.g.: myWIZZ app, myWIZZ knowledge or myWIZZ ontime.
  • Besides Operations departments, cooperation with other Wizz Departments including but not limited to: Safety and Compliance, Ground Operations, Customer Experience, Call Center, E-Commerce, Digital, HR.
  • Controlling within the scope of the responsibilities.
  • Cooperate with peers of other departments of the operations organization.
  • Provides regular update and periodical reports to management of the organization.
  • Regularly report progress of ongoing projects to Senior Operations Policy and Standards Manager and Head of Cabin Operation/Chief Cabin Crew.
  • Provide budget inputs within the scope of his responsibility.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Fluent English in written and speaking.
  • Advanced computer user skills.
  • 5 years Aviation experience
  • 2 years as a Senior Cabin Crew, or 1 year as Manager.
