Digital Portfolio Manager

Purpose of the role:

WizzAir is looking for a talented Digital Portfolio Manager to join our global Digital team and take ownership of Wizz Air’s portfolio management practice.

As the Digital Portfolio Manager you will help redefine the way we work, operate and help digital teams become an engine for growth and ROI for Wizz Air. By establishing standards and processes, this role will ensure key initiatives are prioritized, tracked and communicated. We look for someone who has a passion for improvement, proven experience in key elements of portfolio management and a strong analytical mindset.

You will be a go to partner for the business (including C-suite leaders) and provide direction to our product and program teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Connecting strategy to execution. Helping to quantify initiatives and support business case development. Challenge assumptions around cost and value.
  • Setting standards for product, project, program management to help ensure they are setup for success.
  • Performing health checks to ensure project, product teams and programs stay healthy.
  • Financial management, create standard measurements and providing budgeting support across all teams and digital solution areas.
  • Running annual budgeting process across all digital workstreams and teams. Work with digital leadership and Wizz Air management to ensure right funding in place to support digital strategy.
  • Establish good vendor management practices and best practices. Ensure uptake and adoption across all vendors and teams
  • Help support strong culture of empowerment and accountabilitya across digital teams. Introduce and support tools such as OKRs management and tracking
  • Portfolio management including resource and investment allocation to maximize value.
  • Support in preparation of key Board and Steering Committee documents.
  • Manage the montly reporting and executive scorecard across all of digital. Improve articulation of business value and strengthen outcome (metric) focused reporting.
  • Maintains cost control on all associated with all delivery and run cost. Help ensure teams are reporting properly, introduce stronger oversight on cost vs. value.
  • Coaches team on portfolio and financial management best practices, tooling and techniques. Be evangilist for change and for adopting best practice.
  • Challenge status quo, and pro-actively lead improvements in ways of working.

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • 5+ years working in an international business environment
  • Proven experience that demonstrates ability to take strong budget ownership and lead financial management within digital function.
  • Experience in leading complex projects and using value led delivery practices.  
  • A strategic and agile thinker able to quickly grasp business context and help teams identify opportunities for value creation.
  • Collaborative and cross-functional leadership style, gets excited about enabler others to be more successful.
  • Strong analytical skillset. Fast on the uptake and likes leading change.
  • Completed university, or college degree
  • Demonstrated experience in designing end-to-end customer experiences
  • Knowledge of PPM tools such as Aha is a plus
