E-Commerce Solution Architect

Purpose of the position:

The primary purpose of the e-Commerce Solution Architect role is to design and implement robust, scalable, and innovative digital solutions that enhance the customer experience and drive business growth. This role is essential in ensuring that our digital platforms are aligned with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices, providing a seamless and engaging experience for our customers. By leveraging your expertise, you will help Wizz Air Hungary Ltd. stay competitive in the rapidly evolving aviation industry, ensuring our digital strategies support our overall business objectives and deliver value to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret business requirements to identify impactful technology solutions.
  • Lead the design and planning of the implementation of selected solutions on platforms like websites and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams ensuring the successful deployment of solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine solutions post-implementation.
  • Define, document, and communicate the overall solution architecture.
  • Evaluate and select suitable technologies and platforms, emphasizing scalability and user experience.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
  • Conduct architectural evaluation, design, and analysis of enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Facilitate solution discovery and definition workshops with stakeholders.
  • Engage in project lifecycle activities such as project coordination, requirements gathering, quality assurance, and acceptance testing.
  • Support technology change management and ensure the quality of deliverables.

 

Requirements:

  • 5-7+ years working experience, with 4+ years  experience in solution architecture, with substantial exposure to customer-facing systems.
  • Strong capacity to advise high-level stakeholders and translate business requirements into designs for secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.
  • Experience in designing, building, and testing complex target architectures and their integration in legacy environments, ideally within airline commercial technology ecosystems.
  • Experience with digital commerce/eCommerce engines and platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Navitaire).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Software Architecture and Design: Proficiency in designing scalable, reliable, and secure software architectures.
  • Programming Languages: Experience with languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks.
  • Cloud Computing: Expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including cloud-native architectures and services.
  • System Integration: Strong skills in integrating disparate systems and technologies, ensuring seamless functionality.
  • DevOps Practices: Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation.
  • Database Management: Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases, including database design, optimization, and management.
  • Security Principles: Understanding of security best practices, including data protection, encryption, and compliance standards.
  • API Management: Experience in designing and managing APIs
  • Front-End Technologies: Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Performance Optimization: Skills in optimizing application performance, including load balancing, caching, and monitoring.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor development teams, ensuring alignment with architectural goals and standards.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and technological advancements, maintaining a proactive approach.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative and strategic thinking to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
