Fuel Efficiency WIZZ Management Trainee 

Based in BUD - Office 

We would like to give an opportunity for young talents in their last 1-2 years of University studies, passionate about the aviation, to fly into the world of Wizz Air. You will discover and experience full scope of activities of one selected Function within Wizz Air's Headquarter in Budapest. While rotating between the Functional Departments over a period of 1-2 years, you will be learning live from real industry experts, working on transformative, complex projects and can land yourself a full-time employment with Wizz Air afterwards.

FUEL EFFICIENCY

The Management Trainee supports the Fuel Efficiency Manager to be able to manage the Group Operation (all Wizz Air Airline) Fuel Efficiency program, including research, development and implementation of fuel efficiency initiatives and ensure communication and cooperation with AOC’s Flight Operations and other relevant departments.   

Responsibilities:

The Fuel Efficiency Management Trainee’s main responsibility to support the Fuel Efficiency manager to deliver the following:  

• Assist in developing initiatives to improve fuel efficiency, aiming to reduce both operational costs and environmental impact. 

• Support coordination with AOC’s Flight Operations Management to implement fuel-saving initiatives. 

• Help monitor compliance and track fuel-saving KPIs, reporting on progress regularly. 

• Assist in addressing deviations in fuel-saving efforts by coordinating with the respective AOC’s Flight Operations teams. 

• Conduct research and assist with benchmarking to ensure the program remains up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends. 

• Support in reporting the status and value delivered by fuel efficiency projects, and contribute to planning upcoming projects. 

• Assist with tasks related to reviewing, updating, and implementing fuel policies. 

Requirements:

• English fluency
• Graduating within 2 years from university
• Active student status at a Hungarian university for at least 1 more year (Transportation, Engineering related studies)
• Ability to work at least 20 hours/week
• Strong MS Office knowledge
• Previous traineeship experience is an advantage
