Junior Fuel Manager

Purpose of the position:

 

The Fuel Purchasing Associate works on full range of fuel procurement and service contract management-related projects associated with the operation of the Wizz Air Group, while reporting to the Fuel Purchasing Manager. The primary focus of the role is supporting the Fuel Purchasing Manager`s work in the administration of the strategic projects and fuel service provider negotiations.

 

The successful candidate will support and ensure that all fuel procurement processes are carried out according to the company’s purchasing policy.

Important part of the role is managing and coordinating the fuel contract databases ensuring up to date commercial conditions in the internal accounting system, contract management and revision of the on-time performance per station with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Specific job tasks include, but are not limited to some set of the following activities:

  • Managing/coordinating databases and data collection
  • Serving as the key administrator of the fuel contract handling in IT tool
  • Compiling financial calculation and building Excel models for proposal evaluation
  • Supporting the service contracting process
  • Constant cooperation with Wizz Air’s operational departments and stakeholders
  • External stakeholder and fuel contract management

 

Requirements:

 

  • Education: Finalized College or University degree
  • Team player with ‘can do’ and ‘hungry for learning’ attitude
  • Minimum 1-3 years of work experience
  • Procurement, Sales support, Analyst background is an advantage
  • Fluent English knowledge (both spoken and written)
  • Strong interpersonal skill to be able to efficiently communicate, built relationships and cooperation and this way drive the projects forward
  • Attention to details at deliverables, daily routines, and complex task management
  • Analytical mindset for updating the internal commercial data base,
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities and under time pressure with accuracy and efficiency
  • Flexibility in adapting to changes in the environment, expectations, and priorities
  • Good MS Office knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) is a must
