JOB TITLE: Scheduling & Slots Manager

Summary

 

The Scheduling and Slots Manager, reporting to the Senior Scheduling and Slots Manager, will be responsible for designing optimal schedules, and managing a portfolio of slots for one of Europe’s fastest growing airlines.

 

As a Scheduling and Slots manager, you will test your problem solving skills on a daily basis, carrying out multiobjective optimisation exercises managing requirements and constraints with a variety of teams within the airline. This will give you a great cross functional visibility on how the airline is run, and a significant opportunity to drive value in a very fast paced and growth-focused organisation.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • SCHEDULE DESIGN.
    • Optimise the profitability and operational resilience of the schedule of each base.
    • Work cross functionally with Revenue Management and Network Development teams to enhance each schedule’s revenue potential, and asses the feasibility of network or capacity changes.
    • Liaise with Ground Operations, Flight Operations, Operations Control, Maintenance and Crew Planning teams  to ensure the feasibility of the schedules, and minimise the cost of the operation.
    • Load and manage flight capacity into the operational and reservation systems, collaborating with Customer Experience team in the management of schedule changes.

 

  • AIRPORT SLOT MANAGEMENT
    • Secure airport slots for each season schedule.
    • Manage the current slot historic rights and secure new ones, protecting WIZZ future positions in congested airports.
    • Provide analysis on airport capacity and strategies to maximise growth opportunities in congested airports.

 

  • PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
    • Increase the team efficiency by reducing manual tasks through automatic solutions or new processes.
    • Increase the data-driven profile of the team with the development of new  analytic, optimisation and simulation models.

Requirements

  • Finalized College or University degree
  • Fluent English knowledge (both spoken and written).
  • Openness to live and work in Budapest, Hungary.
  • Flexibility to travel as required away from Head Office.
