Security Desk Student 

Based in BUD - Office 

About the position :

Join the Wizz Air Group Security Desk – a 24/7 global security monitoring centre that plays a vital role in ensuring security of Wizz Air operations. As a student intern, you will support the team in monitoring and responding to potential security threats affecting our flights and operations.

Responsibilities:

As part of the Security Desk team, you will assist with:

• Flight Monitoring: Help track active flights flying near or over conflict zones in cooperation with operational teams.

• Security Support: Provide basic advice and assistance to staff facing security concerns across the network (e.g. threats, political unrest, criminal incidents).
• Incident Response: Be part of the first line of contact in case of critical security events, assisting both internal teams and external partners.
• Immigration and Deportee Support: Support cases involving passengers who are not permitted entry (inadmissible passengers), as well as those being deported.
• Unruly Passenger Cases: Help document and advise on disruptive passenger incidents.
• Weapons Transport: Assist with documentation and checks related to passengers traveling with weapons (e.g. law enforcement, sports).
• Security Materials: Assist with the distribution and tracking of security seals and identification plates.
• Threat Assessments: Support initial review and documentation of bomb threats or similar incidents.

Requirements:

• Active student status at a Hungarian university, currently enrolled in Security Studies, International Relations, Aviation Management or related field
• Interest in aviation and global security
• Able to stay calm under pressure and work in a structured way
• Ability to work in 12-hour rotation (7:00-19:00, 19:00-7:00) including weekends and holidays, maximum 2-3 shifts/week
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
• Professional and reliable, with good communication skills
