Purpose of the position:

 

The Senior Network Development Manager will report to the Head of Network Development. The role’s primary responsibility will be to coordinate one of the three core WIZZ regions (CEE, West and East) by leading a sub-team of Network Development Managers. The Senior Manager will be the responsible to develop the route network of that region and shape the future of W500.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Leading a sub-team of Network Development Managers
  • Assessing new markets based on strategic fit, financial performance, and growth potential
  • Analyse financial forecasts for potential new routes and bases
  • Assessing competition in terms of strategic plans, capacity changes, strengths/weaknesses and recommending actions based on the risks and opportunities
  • Working with the Revenue Management and Airport Development teams to determine amendments to existing routes, frequencies and airports
  • Managing the airport mix to ensure it does not exceed budgeted costs
  • Building relationships with airports and third parties (regions, tourism bodies, Civil Aviation Authorities, etc.)
  • Present to Senior Management relevant business cases

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Completed university or college degree is a must
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good leadership and people management skills
  • Business mindset and ability to synthesize information into recommendations
  • Good oral and written presentations skills
  • Teamwork and strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent spoken/written English
  • Ability to live and work in Budapest, Hungary
  • Flexibility to travel as required away from Head Office
