Purpose of the position:
The position is responsible for ensuring through due diligence on any new strategic projects and initiatives being proposed for the Wizz Air Group as well as ensuring timely, efficient and effective planning and execution of strategic projects that have been approved by the Board and Sr Leadership Team.
Place in the organization:
The Senior Strategic Projects Manager reports to the Head of Strategic Projects.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Strategic Project Manager is responsible for:
- Managing due diligence of new projects, acquisition and initiatives and where appropriate provide recommendations to the board and Sr Leadership Team
- Managing projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying timelines, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
- Coordinating internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
- Analyzing project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
- Establishing and maintaining processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle
- Assigning and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
- Reporting project progress, delays, outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan

Requirements:
- Min. 4 years of aviation experience is a commercial or operational role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and results-oriented approach
- Experience in managing a multiple tasks and priorities at the same time.
- Self-motivated and proactive, willing to take initiative and responsibility.
- Confident in spoken and written English
- University Degree
Advantage:
- Previous Project Management Experience
- Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2
- Previous experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
