Technical Support Engineer 

Based in Budapest 



Purpose of the position:


As a part of Wizz Air Hungary CAMO, Technical Support Engineer will take a crucial role on bridging the daily operation and reliability engineering of Wizz Air Hungary and Wizz Air Malta fleet. Technical Support Engineer will be monitoring and perform follow up on each repetitive defect and ad-hoc case which need deeper troubleshooting analysis.

Responsibilities include:


  • Developing procedures when required to address long term reliability issues.
  • Assist in investigating repetitive defects, issuing corrective actions and follow up post rectification.
  • Assist in identifying future system failures as part of the predictive maintenance program, issue pre-emptive corrective action, and follow up post rectification.
  • Work closely with MCC and engineering department, assist during day-to-day issues and AOG recoveries.
  • Own any CEIS or trial projects being carried out on the fleet. Handle all OEM reporting and communication, follow up post trial end.
  • Take over any temporary repairs performed as part of an AOG recovery or base maintenance release. Organize for permanent corrective action to be performed, liase with OEM for final repair instructions (if not covered by any published manuals) and aligning with planning and material supply teams.
  • Take over any long-term troubleshooting cases that extend beyond MCC scope of work. Handle any related OEM communication and organize for rectification.
  • Work closely and build strong relations with manufacturers, work to ensure continued airworthiness and enhance fleet reliability.
  • Develop and refine current processes to improve overall aircraft reliability and AMP effectiveness.
  • Lead any AD-HOC projects or tasks assigned.
  • Follow applicable requirements of safety management system.




  • Completed university or college degree, B1/2 license is beneficial. 
  • 3 years relevant work experience within CAMO or AMO organisation is desired.
  • A320FAM CEO/NEO type training (Level III) is desired. A330 is an advantage.
  • Fuel Tank Safety training, EWIS training, and Human Factors training is desired.
  • Thorough knowledge of Part-M, Part-CAMO, and Part-145 regulation
  • AMOS working experience is preferred.
  • Fluent English language knowledge.
