WIZZ Management Trainee - Airport Development West

We would like to give an opportunity for young talents in their last 1-2 years of university studies, passionate about the aviation, to fly into the world of Wizz Air. You will discover and experience full scope of activities of one selected Function within Wizz Air's Headquarter in Budapest. While rotating between the Functional Departments over a period of 1-2 years, you will be learning live from real industry experts, working on transformative, complex projects and can land yourself a full-time employment with Wizz Air afterwards. 

AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT WEST DEPARTMENT 

The Airport Development West department acts as the airline's strategic bridge to airports, supporting negotiations with stakeholders and delivering airport and ground handling deals for Wizz Air Group in Western and Southern Europe. By assessing strategic route developments and base opportunities from the cost perspective, leading airport and ground handling contracting, and managing external business relationships with airports, tourism bodies, and other organizations, the department plays a crucial role in securing strategic partnerships and optimizing airport and ground handling costs. 

Responsibilities: 

• Get a hands-on negotiations experience by attending meetings with various stakeholders alongside the Airport Development Managers, the Head of Airport Development West and Wizz Air’s C-level Executives 

• Build cost models and provide inputs for new route and base assessments 

• Work on strategic cross-functional projects with Network Development, Finance, Ground Operations and other departments    

• Lead organization of quarterly meetings with airport and ground handling partners 

• Monitor contractual obligations of existing airport and ground handling deals and prepare reports for Senior Management 

• Support managers with administrative tasks related to tendering, contracting, inventory, internal systems updates and invoice control 

• Participate in the yearly budgeting process and provide inputs for the forecast 

• Support automatization tasks and perform systems testing 

Requirements: 

• English fluency 

• Graduating within 2 years from university 

• Active student status at a Hungarian university for at least 1 more year  

• Ability to work at least 20 hours/week 

• Strong MS Office knowledge 

• Previous traineeship experience is an advantage
