Senior Crew Planning Manager Wizz Air Malta
Purpose of the role:
Senior Crew Planning Manager will report directly to the Head of Crew Resources and Planning. The role’s primary responsibility is oversight on the Crew Planning function within the organization: ensuring roster efficiency and compliance with regulations as well as driving system and process improvements. The role will be responsible for the sub-team of Crew Planning Manager(s) and Training Planning Manager(s).

Key responsibilities:
- Leading role in Crew Planning department. Oversight and accountability of the crew planning function with the organization.
- Managing the team of Crew Planning Manager(s) and Training Planning Manager(s).
- Optimizing the crew roster to ensure highest crew productivity while adhering to safety and compliance requirements.
- Oversight of crew resources available to ensure program coverage and operational resilience.
- Responsibility for roster fatigue and wellbeing for +3000 crew member.
- Ensuring high efficiency of built rosters
- Taking the lead in process and system improvement
- Cross functional project management. Cooperation with various stakeholders across the organization (Crew Planning, Cabin and Flights Operation, Training, Human Resources)
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations (duty and flight time limitations, Fatigue Risk Management)
- Liaison with Network and Revenue management teams on alignment of commercial matters and operational impact
- Continuous checking the existing duty and flight time limitations, to make sure the published roster is legal and fulfilled the fatigue risk principles
- Updating the personal crew data base and the working rule regulations and rest requirements
- Determine the required headcount crew capacity to fulfil the Commercial schedule
- Update the existing process and create new ones
- Headcount gap analysis and improvement actions
- What-if schedule analysis
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Growth mindset and can-do attitude
- Professional experience of 2-5 years in a multinational environment (including people management)
- Ability to synthesize information into recommendations
- Good oral and written presentations skills
- Teamwork and strong interpersonal skills
- Good leadership and people management skills
- Fluent spoken / written English
- Ability to live and work in Malta
- Flexibility to travel as required away from Head Office
- Completed university or college degree is a must
- Knowledge of AIMS Crew and Ops system and knowledge of Working Rules Limitations and Rest Requirements are advantages
