Senior Manager Integrated Ops Planning and Analytics 

Based in Malta 

 

 

Purpose of the position:

 

The Senior Manager of Integrated Ops Planning and Analytics is responsible to lead planning and optimization across the AOC, driving improved efficiency for both commercial and operations, as well as making trade-offs between the teams.  The role will also be responsible for managing the overall integrated perspective and driving trade-offs/implementing changes between operations and commercial resources necessary to drive the business, including crew and fleet.

Responsibilities:

 

RESPONSIBILITES OF THE FUNCTION

 

  • Driving long term integrated planning to improve delivery against the business’ primary objectives of 12.5 hours utilization, 850 hours of crew productivity, 99.5% completion rate, and OTP of 80%.  This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Schedule efficiency and design to better optimize utilization and crew productivity trade-offs.
    • Challenging and improving operations requirements for the schedule design to lower cost and improve resiliency.
    • Assessment of commercial initiatives on the operation, and likewise assessment of operation initiatives on the commercial business
    • Continual assessment of opportunities to improve operational resilience through improved commercial and operating parameters.
    • Evaluation of proposed network changes from an operations perspective
  • Consolidation of operations feedback regarding proposed schedules, as well as initial assessment of new commercial proposals from the operations perspective
  • Drive and owe OPS KPI reporting / benchmarking as well as monitoring and identification of improvement initiatives.
  • Lead BI development/oversight and data mining (pattern identification), incl. on time performance, utilization, absence management, EC261 performance and process automation
  • Oversee annual operations planning and delivery in line with OP and monthly management of performance against OP.
  • Manage interaction with Commercial in terms of: AC allocation planning, AC utilization including crew utilization impact, Network change planning, Crew demand modelling/forecasting, Ensure ULCC schedule.

  • Capability to understand complex issues and procedures
  • Business mindset and ability to synthesize information into recommendations
  • Good understanding of the Company’s culture and strategy
  • Understanding of departmental operating policies procedures and processes
  • Good people management skills
  • Ability to handle time pressure
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Very good English (both written and spoken)
  • University Degree
  • 2 years as a manager at Wizz Air or 3 years of previous experience
  • Internal task and departmental familiarization
